The Components of an automobile machine are coated with Teflon in order to prevent the machine from rusting. Functional coating gives reliability and quality. All the pistons, pivots are coated in order to prevent corrosion. The springs in the automobile spares are coated with PTFE coating is applied to reduce noise and friction less movement between the moving objects. Seat belt clips, Throttle Body Shafts are also coated with Teflon. Clamps are also coated with Teflon coating.  PTFE based coating is given to carburetors, fuel filters etc.
